Casuals update

We’re excited to announce an action packed update for all of you. Today’s announcement marks the end of our first ever public Casuals playtest preview. In just 36 hours, we saw over 360 casual matches played, with an average queue time of 3-6 minutes.

The Side 7 team would like to recognize the hard work of both Samuel and Moekumo, who made this preview possible.



F91 Unit Overview

We’re thrilled to introduce a preview of our upcoming first ever custom unit in Gundam Evolution — F91! This mobile suit brings speed, versatility, and devastating burst potential to the battlefield. Watch our showcase video below on our newly launched official Side 7 YouTube.

Base Stats

  • 900 HP

  • 3 Dashes

  • Extended airtime with lower hover stamina consumption

  • Aiming down sights deploys a powerful forward-facing 300 HP shield to block incoming damage

Ability 1: Variable Speed Beam Rifles (VSBRs)

Mounted on F91’s backpack, the twin VSBRs let you adapt to combat scenarios with two distinct firing modes:

  • Uncharged: Fires a high-damage beam at a single target

  • Charged: Launches a piercing projectile that travels through multiple enemies and shields

Ability 2: Mega Machine Cannons

These chest-mounted cannons unleash a rapid burst of high-speed bullets. You can activate this ability alongside others, opening the door for deadly ability layering and pressure.

G-Maneuver: Full Operating Mode

Upon operating Full Operating Mode, your base movement speed will be increased alongside your dash regeneration speed, making you one of the fastest suits in the game. While active, the suit will leave behind after images and the face guard opens, giving you a new ability.

Activate Full Operating Mode to supercharge your movement:

  • Boosted movement speed

  • Accelerated dash regeneration

  • Afterimages appear as you dash

  • Face Guard opens, unlocking a devastating new ability

G-Maneuver Ability: Face Guard (Heat Vent)

F91 will release all of his pent up radiation energy out of his open face guard, causing massive damage in a small area of effect. Similar to the Mega Machine Cannons, you will be able to stack this ability alongside others at the same time, allowing for strong damage combinations.

Final Thoughts:

F91 isn’t built to soak damage—it’s built to end fights fast. With only 900 HP, it’s one of the more fragile units on the roster, but what it lacks in durability, it makes up for with overwhelming firepower and unmatched speed.

He's a high-risk, high-reward unit designed for players who value speed and burst damage over survivability. With low HP and limited defensive options, positioning and timing are critical, but in the right hands, F91 can eliminate targets quickly and escape before retaliation.

Its toolset rewards precision and smart ability usage, allowing you to pressure enemy teams and create openings with raw output.
